Anonymous takes Down Delhi Police Website against student gang-rape case

In a report by RT, the website of Delhi Police website has been taken down by Anonymous hackers against the gang rape and violence over protesters against the rape.

The news was announced by a supporter of Anonymous hackers who goes by the handle of @Anon_Info_Ops:

On the night of 16 December 2012, an Indian female physiotherapy student was gang raped in Delhi and she and her friend were beaten by a group of six males, after which the female victim was raped. The victim is being treated at Safdarjang Hospital where she was on ventilatory support for five days.

As the new came out, the women protection organisations started protesting against the rape and police for not taking measures to prevent such incident. The police in reply went violent and that’s when Anonymous took things in their control and took down the website of Delhi police.

At the time of publishing this article, the website was still down and displaying (the page not found message).
