California’s’ Covina City and Police Department Website Hacked by Bangladeshi 3xp1r3 Cyber Army

A hacker going with the handle of RedX from Bangladeshi based 3xp1r3 Cyber Army has hacked and defaced the official website of California’s Covina City and Police Department website () along with its sub-domain.

Hacker left a deface page along with a message on hacked Covina City and Police Department but the reason for targeting site was not mentioned anywhere. The deface message was expressed in following words:

Hacked by Red X, Bangladeshi Hacker! Dear Admin, Secure you site! Greets to all members of 3xp1r3 Cyber Army.

Covina City website operates city issues along with its official police department issues within the same domain name. It is unclear if hacker had got access to any sensitive information or if any data was made public related to city’s police depatment

Covina is a small city in Los Angeles County, California about 22 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, in the San Gabriel Valley region

At the time of publishing this article, both sites were restored and working online.
