An Indonesian defacer going with the handle of ‘Index Php’ had hacked and defaced 3 official sub-domains of European Union (EU) on 21st November, 2013.

Targeted domains were sub-domains of European Union (EU), belonging to EU’s E-voting and polls, official Blog of the European Commission and EU’s web and forum tools.

All 3 domains were left with a deface page along with a message, expressed in following message:

  • ‘Europa?? 0wn3d by Index Php defacer_indonesia@ymail.com.’

Link of targeted websites along with mirrors are available below:

It is unclear why the sites were attacked by Indonesian hacker. However, Indonesian hackers are in news for targeting Australian government domains amid spying row with Jakarta.

At the time of publishing this article, all 3 domains were restored and working online.
