Northern Region Civil Air Patrol of U.S. Air Force Domain Hacked by KamiSecTeam

A group of Malaysian hackers from KamiSecTeam has hacked and defaced the official website of Northern Region Civil Air Patrol of the United States Air force.

Hackers left an image as a deface page on the hacked website with team’s name KamiSecTeam and official logo but reason for targeting the site was not mentioned anywhere.

The hacked domain link is http://www.ner.cap.gov, where CAP stated for Civil Air Portal. However the http://cap.gov/ gets diverted to http://gocivilairpatrol.com/, a Civil Air Patrol United States Air Force Auxiliary domain.

Link of targeted website along with its Zone-h mirror is available below:

Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, is a nonprofit organization with more than 61,000 members nationwide. CAP, in its Air Force auxiliary role, performs 90 percent of continental U.S. inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center and was credited by the AFRCC with saving 54 lives in fiscal year 2011.

KamiSecTeam is the same team which had hacked and defaced 19 Domains of US’s Yakima County Fire District #5  on March 06, 2013.
