The official website of Nigerian Ministry of Defence (http://www.mod.gov.ng/) has been hacked and defaced by world renowned hackers from Moroccan Ghosts hacking group.

The site was hacked just few minutes ago, where the home page was left with a deface page along with a message. The page shows that site was defaced for an ongoing Sahara desert dispute between Morocco and Nigeria. While the deface message was expressed in following words:

  • Moroccan Ghosts, The Sahara is Moroccan!

One of the hacker from Moroccan Ghost told us that they will keep on attacking every country’s cyber space which plans to takeover the Sahara.

Link of targeted site along with its mirror is available below:

This is not the first time when Moroccan Ghosts have targeted a country due to Sahara desert conflict. In past they hacked 100 South African websites for same dispute.

At the time of publishing this article, the website of Nigerian ministry of defence was hacked and displaying deface page left by the hackers.
