If you are wondering what’s happening with YouTube then you are not alone, the video-sharing website is suffering an outage currently and users are unable to access the website.
Those visiting the site can see a 500 error along with a message, “500 Internal Server Error Sorry, something went wrong. A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.
According to DownDetector, YouTube went down around 6 pm GMT. However, it is unclear why the site is down. We at Hackread are keeping an eye on the situation and once the site is up or if there is an official statement from Google about the downtime we will update this article.
Update:
After staying offline for more than 2hours YouTube is back, however, there has been no word from Google why the site was down. Stay tuned for Google’s comment on this issue.
