#ProjectWhiteFox: Team Ghostshell leaks 1.6 Million User Accounts
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

We all remember Team GhostShell, the Hacktivists group who hacked some major and high profile universities from all over the world, leaking more then 100,000 records in October. This time the group is back in news with another high profile hack in which military, financial and technology giants have been attacked and over about 1.6 million accounts are exposed online.

The hackers left a huge list of hacks, explaining the details of leaks. The attacks are done for a project officially known as #ProjectWhiteFox, which stands for freedom of information. The 1.6 million user accounts from all trade of life includes the Military such as Pentagon, Financial giants, Law firms, Government institutions, aerospace such as NASA, Tax payers and those companies working on the behalf of US’s department of defense.

The group also explained how they are concerned for possible internet censorship in future, according to the message on Pastebin:

#ProjectWhiteFox will conclude this year’s series of attacks by promoting hacktivism worldwide and drawing attention to the freedom of information on the net. For those two factors we have prepared a juicy release of 1.6 million accounts/records from fields such as aerospace, nanotechnology, banking, law, education, government, military, all kinds of wacky companies & corporations working for the department of defense, airlines and more.

But before that, we need to talk a bit about a recent event that occurred and is/should be of great interest to everyone that uses the internet. The ITU (International Telecommunication Union) is hosting a meeting right now that may very well decide the fate of how the inet will be managed in the future. Basically the UN may very well give total power to the ITU on how to handle everything.

Anonymous has already initiated an operation on the matter called #OpWCIT (Operation World Conference on International Telecommunications.) Follow for more news here: https://twitter.com/opWCIT & http://twitter.com/OpBigBrother

The list of hacked organizations is mentioned below:
The European Space Agency
NASA's Engineers: Center for Advanced Engineering
Crestwood Technology Group - CTG123
Bigelow Aerospace
California Manufacturers & Technology Association - CMTA.net
Aerospace Suppliers
World Airport Transfers
General Dynamics Defense Systems - GD-OtsCanada
Zero-Max - Manufacturer of parts
MicroController Shop
Jp Chem eData
Human Security Gateway
NanoConference
Hamamatsu
HMI CronPowder
Defense Contractor for the Pentagon - DPAtitle3
Business Consultancy dealing mostly with military personnel - Drum Cussac
Institute of makers of explosives - IME
Texas Bankers

According to the list, the hackers also hacked into Credit Union National Association – CUNA and over 85 Million credit cards and user data is under their control. The group thanked all the Anonymous hackers, reporters, IT experts and all the supports who somehow helped the group during the ‘could be world’s biggest cyber attack.

For users here is the Pastebin list that has all the hacked info, including the data of 1.6 million users.
