Saudi hacker hacks and defaces websites of US embassy and UNESCO New Zealand

A Saudi hacker going with the handle of Dr.SHA6H has hacked and defaced the official website of United States Embassy in New Zealand (blogs.newzealand.usembassy.gov) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization New Zealand UNESCO (www.unesco.org.nz).

The hacked United States Embassy site is actually its blog (http://blogs.newzealand.usembassy.gov/ambassador) ran by David Huebner, US ambassador to New Zealand.

Both websites were targeted on 28th August 2013, left with a deface page along with a message and YouTube video. The deface message talks about ongoing conflict in Syria, expressed in following words:

  • When Patience and children being killing and women raped! Three years in a row and there is no solution to blood in Syria? what do you do if the blood of children oil, All the world seeking to oil..Is this humanity that we are studying in school and universities and everywhere. All we do now speech want action from government and human rights organizations. Very sorry to penetrate the site.

Dr.SHA6H has been hacking high profile websites for over a year, raising Syrian conflict all over the world. You can read all past hacks conducted by Dr.SHA6H here.

At the time of publishing this article all sites were restored and working online.
