Turkey frees bird accused of spying for Israel

X-ray result of bird detained for spying

Last week Turkish authorities had captured a bird suspecting it was spying for Israel, but later freed it when X-ray results showed that no surveillance equipment was embedded with it.

Reuters reported that kestrel bird was found with a metal ring on its foot with words like “24311 Tel Avivunia Israel” were written on it, putting the bird as alleged Israeli spy that was later handed over to village of Altinayv’s local governor.

The bird was sent to a university hospital for X-ray to analyse if it is equipped with any kind of surveillance equipment, the above mentioned image is of original X-ray conducted by the hospital with Israeli agent written on the top left side.

It is still unclear why the words like 24311 Tel Avivunia Israel were found on metal ring of the bird and who put it for what reason, good news is that the bird is free.
