Radio Station Caught Teaching Listeners How to Hide Child Pornographic Content

Radio Station Caught Teaching Listeners How to Hide Child Pornographic Content

The authorities around the world are doing whatever it takes to hunt down pedophiles but a radio station in the United States was caught teaching something else and it’s shocking. A radio station CAVE 97.7 FM from Arizona state was airing disgusting public announcements about how to store child pornography, reports News 4 Tucson.

The public announcement said “Always use an external drive and hide it where nobody will ever find it. Likewise, never keep paper pictures, tapes, or films of naked juveniles where anybody else can find them. “You should understand that your Internet provider could report you to the police if they catch you looking at a website featuring naked juveniles… If you have such material, you can save yourselves and your family a ton of grief and save the taxpayers a lot of money by never storing such pictures on the hard drive of your computer.”

This public announcement is usually aired at late night and sometimes even the early morning hours. Now imagine taking your kids to school in the morning and suddenly this announcement comes up. You wouldn’t even believe what you are hearing, would you? That’s exactly what others think.

“It’s wrong, it should be taken down, it’s sickening,” said a resident of Benson, where the announcement is aired. The problem isn’t just the announcement, the owner of the Cave 97.7 FM, Paul Lotsof believes that distributing child pornography and creating it are two different issues and only the latter one should be punishable. As disgusting as it may sound, this is what he believes. He told media:

“The difference is one case, you’re molesting children and abusing them, causing children to do things that are not natural for children to do and the other case, they just possess pictures. There’s no connection between those two.”

With such a sick mentality, it’s no surprising that he has been airing such disgusting messages for the past two years. Upon asking whether he holds such pictures, Lotsof said: “I don’t, and even if I did, I wouldn’t admit it”

Furthermore, Lotsof said he is doing public service by airing this message and even if he loses all the advertising income, he’ll still run the message.

“I have enough money that I can sustain this radio station on the air with no advertising for years,”

Cochise County Sheriff Mark J. Dannels also commented on the issue through his official Facebook page and called the announcement “disgusting and unacceptable.”

Currently, there is an online petition going on to take down CAVE 97.7 FM on change.org, and 100 signatures have already been made.
