Samsung introduced another very cool and affordable Android phone. It is called Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 Android phone. The Galaxy Y is available since October 2011 and was announced in August 2011. It supports both 2G and 3G networks. In 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and in 3G (HSDPA 900 / 2100).

The screen of the stylish Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 is TFT capacitive touch-screen with 256 K colors. LCD size is 3 inches, 240 x 320 pixels (133 pixels per inch pixel density) with Touch-Wiz user interface and Touch sensitive controls.

The internal memory of this Samsung Galaxy Y is 180 MB and has 290 MB RAM whereas it can support up to 32GB micro SD memory cards. It has a good quality audio with a loudspeaker along with vibration and MP3 ring tones as its alert type and contains a 3.5 mm standard audio jack for headphones.

The primary camera of the sleek and attractive design Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 is 2 MP (1600 x 1200 pixels) with Geo-tagging and also supports video QVGA @ 15 frames per second. There is no secondary camera belonging to this phone. The Galaxy Y has version 3 Bluetooth with A2DP technology, 802.11 a/b/g/n Hotspot Wi-Fi, a micro USB version 2, GPRS and EDGE technology. The data rate or speed in HSDPA networks is 7.2 Mbps.

The feature on which the sale and market of the phone depends is its operating system. The OS of this attractive and striking Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 is version 2.3.5 Android (Gingerbread) along with ARM-6 830 MHz central processing unit (CPU). Other features of the Galaxy Y are its Stereo FM with RDS technology, threaded view SMS, MMS, IM, PUSH Email and Email, GPS with A-GPS support, MIDP 2.1 JAVA, accelerometer, compass and proximity sensor.

 Media player included in the eye-catching, sleek and shiny Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 phone supports MP3, MP4, eAAC, WAV, H 2.64 and WMV formats. It also has WAP 2.0 xHTML, HTML browser, Google Talk, Picasa Integration, Google Search, Youtube and Google Maps, organizer, document viewer, calendar, image and video editor, voice memos and voice commands, social networking service integration and predictive text input.

The talk time of the Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 in 2G network is 17 hours and in 3G network it is 6 hours 30 minutes whereas stand-by time in 2G is up to 900 hours and in 3G it is up to 550 hours. This phone is available in two colors “Metallic Gray and White” but has the option of replaceable covers and can be changed with different attractive colors like orange, pink, blue and white etc. The price of this phone is very less as compared to the specifications of this phone and is affordable as well as reliable
