The online hacktivist AnonGhost just hacked, defaced the official website of Wayne Country Sheriff’s department and publicly leaked its database containing login credentials of its employees.

The attack on the Sheriff’s website was conducted under the banner of #OpUSA, an online operation where Palestine friendly hackers are targeting US based websites.

AnonGhost left a deface page, a video along with a message on the hacked site, bashing the United Nations and US government for targeting Muslim countries and spreading anarchy all over Middle east.

The deface message was expressed in following words:

“This Message Is Addressed To United Nations : you have failed as expected. for many years,we have witnessed your unjust laws. you have abused human rights, creating Wars, Financial Crisis, bombings, arresting innocent people, assassinating, using media to spread your lies,to justify your corrupt act. After all,we’re aware ! you are the real terrorists!”

In an exclusive conversation with a representative of AnonGhost, HackRead was told that the group will carry on targeting US based government and private website.

“We will keep on hacking the United States! because when it comes to kill civilians US see no difference, so why would we think before hacking govt civilian sites?”

A full preview of the deface page is available below:

Leaked data analysis:

After scanning the data, we’ve found it to be legit and never been leaked before on the Internet. The data contains website database, IP addresses, usernames, emails and their hashed passwords.

Link or targeted site along with dumped data is available below:

At the moment the mirror of the targeted site is not available, as soon as we get hold of it we will share it with our readers.

AnonGhost is the same hacking group who was behind hacking ESET anti-virus software developers for Israel and the Hillside Illinois Police Department website against NATO strikes in 2013. In 2015, AnonGhost hacked Israeli credit cards and donated about $18,000 to pro-Palestinian charity for OpIsrael.

At the time of publishing this article, the Wayne Country Sheriff’s department website was hacked.
